KING OF PRUSSIA, PA—July 12, 2010—Maxwell Systems, Inc. today announced that the company’s Chief Financial Officer Bill Tobia was recognized as a 2010 CFO of the Year Awards finalist, presented by The Philadelphia Business Journaland LeBow College of Business at Drexel University.
The CFO of the Year award program, now in its third year, recognizes the top financial professionals in the Delaware Valley for outstanding performance in their roles as corporate financial stewards. Finalists were recognized at an awards luncheon on July 8 at Philadelphia’s Four Seasons. Tobia was honored among the finalists in the Medium Company Category.
The achievements recognized in Tobia’s nomination include his contribution to Maxwell Systems’ growth through merger and acquisition activity, including financial and legal matters as well as the following assimilation period. Since Tobia has joined Maxwell Systems, the company has risen to the number two position in its marketplace. Beyond commanding the financial function at the leading provider of complete construction software, Tobia is also noted for the positive impact he makes to the community in the key areas of education, helping those who cannot provide for themselves, and healthcare research.
