Maxwell Systems Launches QuestMX 8.6 to Provide Takeoff, Earth-Measuring, and Estimating in a Seamless System

This new release of Maxwell Systems' complete takeoff and estimating solution now delivers Estimator, Digital Takeoff, and Earthwork all in one seamless system, as well as capabilities for change order tracking, purchase order management, and proposal manipulation to compete on bid day.

Maxwell Systems QuestMX is ideal for residential, commercial, subcontracting, specialty, heavy/highway, underground utilities, and sitework contractors. Offering enhanced usability and lower cost of ownership while increasing speed and accuracy of takeoff and estimating, the QuestMX solution helps contractors improve productivity and profitability.

  • Earthwork and new Earthwork Digital Takeoff – QuestMX now incorporates Maxwell Systems’ complete estimating solution for general sitework contractors, QuestMX Earthwork, which allows sitework contractors to precisely measure cut and fill quantities and calculate grade with utmost accuracy. New with the 8.6 release of QuestMX is Earthwork Digital Takeoff that contractors can use to eliminate the hassle or expense of working with bulky paper blueprints while they perform on-screen cut and fill takeoff; quickly identify borings, substrata, swell, and yield; identify amounts and types of materials that need to be moved; and easily verify takeoff to eliminate costly errors and ensure accuracy of quantities. 
  • Bid Day and Proposals – this new QuestMX feature allows contractors to quickly create proposals with ease. Pulling data seamlessly from the estimating process, this feature saves time by efficiently and accurately accumulating bid details to produce customized proposals with items, assemblies, and more. The new Bid Day functionality allows the user to easily manipulate a proposal’s price on the fly, which helps to maximize time and effort to compete on bid day.  Plus, QuestMX Bid Day and Proposals allows contractors to easily analyze current bid funnel to access active bids, pipeline activity, and profit margin. 
  • Change Orders – this new QuestMX feature automates the creation and tracking of change orders. Contractors now have a critical tool to  efficiently identify and change requests, create and track change orders, and manage pending, internal, and contract change orders, which helps drive timely approvals and thus maximize the profitability of jobs, improve productivity, and save money on potentially costly mistakes. In addition, users can accessreal-time information to better manage the change order process and print change order documents/proposals by using the Bid Day and Proposals feature.
  • Purchase Orders – this new QuestMX feature provides the necessary tools to easily and electronically create, track, and manage purchase orders for any job. Integrated with QuestMX Estimator, the solution is a robust toolset for the pricing, ordering, and delivery of goods. Contractors can stop overspending on individual job tasks with committed cost reporting of outstanding POs, as well as keep projects on schedule by efficiently tracking what materials have or have not been purchased or delivered to a job site. Ultimately, contractors using QuestMX Purchase Orders can work with great efficiency,minimize costs, and maximize purchasing power.
