Maxwell Systems Releases Estimation Logistics 8.1
King of Prussia, Pa. – May 20, 2009 – Maxwell Systems, Inc. today announced the release of Maxwell Systems™ Estimation Logistics™ 8.1. This version of Maxwell Systems’ advanced takeoff and estimating software for electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC contractors includes enhancements to the entire Estimation Logistics suite of estimating modules as well as Maxwell Systems Estimation Digital Takeoff.
- Estimation Logistics integrates with Trade Services’ Supplier Xchange™, which allows contractors to request and receive customer-specific pricing, in real-time, from their preferred suppliers.
- Estimation Logistics users can create names for Custom Cost Units to be displayed and reported throughout the program (Material, Labor, Weight, Area, etc.).
- New capability features a quick and simple method to Update Pricing Codes (UPC, Harrison, and Ferguson) by category in Databook.
- Fabricated Item Conversion allows HVAC contractors to perform “what if” scenarios and convert Fabricated Rectangular to Fabricated Round and/or Oval.
- Digital Takeoff can now easily calibrate a drawing using metric unit system in addition to imperial measurements.
- New feature in Takeoff allows estimators to apply a grouping of options to selected takeoff entries (e.g. apply all factors, apply all level settings, etc.).
- New Summary feature of “Lock Editing” for processed reports, which prevents the unwanted editing of material and labor units.
- Additional user-friendly features include: In takeoff mode, contractors can now add a color change to Audit Trail when a Filter is active; manage multiple estimates in Ei Matrix Reports; and set up options per level.
