American Contractor Modules
EstiLink
With the EstiLink module, business can connect American Contractor to third-party estimating or material purchasing clearing houses.
EstiLink allows data to be imported into various accounting areas, from sources such as estimating applications, spreadsheets, and material purchasing clearing houses. The imported files can be in a variety of formats.
Using EstiLink, you can:
- Import data to create job budgets at the division or activity level. This includes both cost budget and contract amounts, including labor hours and dollars, material, subcontracts, etc.
- Import data at the item level, throughout American Contractor. This data to be imported can include:
- Purchase order items
- Inventory issue items
- Work order Items
- T&M items (into a T&M invoice or attached to a customer record)
- Over-the-counter items (into an OTC transaction)
You’ll also appreciate these benefits:
- Data from different estimating systems may be imported using predefined format for quick results.
- If third-party estimates cannot conform to the standard format, a custom adapter may be purchased.
- American Contractor task codes and descriptions, estimated costs, quantities, and units of measure are automatically imported. Task codes and the overall work breakdown structure are verified to ensure accounting data integrity.
- Tasks and estimates omitted from the original job set-up may be added in American Contractor following import.
- EstiLink is compatible with text (.txt), database (.dbf), spreadsheet (.xls or .xlsm), and files by third-party estimating.
