Info Center is a virtual filing system that helps you create, add, or quickly locate electronic documents, text notes, images, web links, and Outlook e-mails from anywhere within American Contractor. These items may be associated with master records, documents, transactions and more. Info Center is designed to organize and retrieve electronic files and scanned paper documents.
Using Info Center, you can:
- Easily drag and drop any file on your network (including Outlook e-mails, calendar events, tasks, and Contacts) to create an Info Center item, and organize this business information efficiently. Also create an Info Center item from any report or form created in American Contractor.
- Enjoy the benefits of a paperless environment. Effortlessly scan documents to create new image files, which are organized instantly in Info Center.
- Take advantage of Info Center hardware flexibility. Because it interfaces with TWAIN scanning devices, you can choose scanning hardware that best suits your needs.
- Easily retrieve electronic documents from anywhere in American Contractor; document information is indexed, making it easier to locate what you need.
- Customize and organize with user-defined folders, which are instantly created for easy access to filed items.
- Simultaneously create a document and associate it with your current location in American Contractor. Because Info Center detects where you are in the system, this takes place automatically. In addition, Info Center makes item folders available that are associated with your current location.
- Use multi-page TIFF images and many other file types for flexibility.
