ProContractorMX Modules
Inventory Management
Use this module to have a powerful, perpetual inventory system suitable for construction and service contractors.
Fully integrated with General Ledger, Project Costing, Purchase Orders, and Accounts Payable, Inventory Management helps companies rely on adequate stocks of critical items to avoid shortages while keeping accounting and tracking tasks to a minimum.
Features and Benefits
- Flexible item numbering (up to 32 characters) and unlimited item categories accommodate industry standard or unique user-defined identification systems and simple conversions from legacy data files.
- Inventory item record allows you to sort, search, and use your inventory catalog in many ways. It contains manufacturer part number, part name, and suggested list price, as well as Vendors who carry the item, their item number, price, and unit of measure, plus the Universal Price Code (UPC) is also available.
- Multiple warehouses may be defined, including truck inventories and materials stored at job sites. In addition, each warehouse can be maintained with separate addresses and general ledger asset account numbers.
- Items may be transferred among warehouses, trucks, and jobs, with complete audit trails and automatic updating of costs and inventory valuations.
- Keep track of inventory for equipment management.
- For greater flexibility, quantities and prices may be expressed to four decimal digits. In addition, unit of measure conversions allow users to employ distinct units for ordering/pricing vs. stock keeping (e.g., wire ordered by the 1,000 ft. roll but used or issued by the foot).
- Supports processing of transactions from other modules within the system such as Purchase Orders and Accounts Receivable Billing so there’s no double entry.
- Full functions for processing transactions not generated from other modules within system (Inventory Usage, Warehouse Transfers, Stock Receipts, Inventory Usage Returns, Inventory Adjustments, and Inventory Counts).
Provides detail to allow reconciliation of General Ledger accounting balances to balances within Inventory Management. - Supports no-cost items for location tracking only.
- Supports minimum/maximum levels by item and by location for calculation of when stock items should be re-ordered.
