StreetSmarts Modules
Equipment Inventory
With the Equipment Inventory module, businesses can control parts and materials inventory (perhaps one of the most tedious tasks in the industry). This module is a comprehensive parts/inventory management tool and controls equipment parts, jobsite materials, and plant/quarry inventories.
Equipment Inventory provides internal supervision over ordering and stocking to keep inventories as low as possible while ensuring that out-of-stock conditions do not occur. The flexibility of this module also allows excellent decision-making abilities when tracking purchases.
Using Equipment Inventory, you’ll appreciate these benefits:
- Complete re-order information for multiple vendors can be stored by vendor with each item for easy online lookup and automatic purchase order generation.
- During the receiving process, inventory can be issued directly to equipment or projects to speed data entry.
- Inventory request process reserves inventory for equipment and can identify an out-of stock condition.
- Items can be cross-referenced and tracked by internal number, UPC code, and Supplier Part Number for easy reference.
- Tracks all types of project, shop, material, service or other inventories through multiple user-defined warehouse codes.
- Tracks exchangeable items to identify comparable parts which can be used in lieu of an out-of-stock item.
- When used in conjunction with the Purchasing module, re-orders can be automatically generated when stocks reach a user-defined level.
- “Used-On” field associates parts with specific equipment pieces or types, which helps identify obsolete parts when disposing of equipment.
- Track “non-inventory” items to provide information for inventory decision making.
- General Ledger distribution is automatic, eliminating coding errors.
- Ability to transfer inventory from one warehouse location to another through simple one-step entry.
- Order quantities can be masked during the receiving process for internal control over receiving departments.
- System automatically converts order quantities to stock quantities. This conversion information can vary by vendor for each inventory item.
- Tracks items such as tires by serial number throughout their life, including recapping information.
- Users can be restricted to certain warehouse locations, allowing managers to view only information pertinent to their operation.
- Users can select FIFO, LIFO, or Average Cost inventory valuation methods, using either standard or actual cost.
