StreetSmarts Modules
Truck Management
With the Truck Management module, businesses can control costs for truck fleets and hired haulers.
The expense involved in trucking materials can add up quickly if not managed effectively. Maxwell Systems StreetSmarts Truck Management provides comprehensive control over all costs associated with truck fleets and hired haulers. This module provides the ability to calculate expense per truck for the internal fleet and generate an open payable invoice with all details for a hired hauler. Truck Management may be interfaced with other modules and details such as idle dispatch time and revenue per truck may be determined.
Using Truck Management, you’ll appreciate these benefits:
- Daily Efficiency Report, which displays truck, revenue, driver wages and costs, may be printed for any date range. This report also calculates revenue per mile and revenue per hour for the specified period.
- Eliminates virtually all manual ticket entry and sorting normally required for truck vendor invoice entry.
- Internal trucks and drivers can be “rented out” to a customer. Use the system to bill the customer for the rental, along with any materials which may have been furnished.
- The scheduling screen allows users to change any status, display a list of all available trucks, list the activity for a project, or mark any scheduled delivery as completed.
- Truck Management interfaces with Equipment Management to match truck revenue with costs, providing the ability to analyze Profit and Loss for each internal truck.
- When used with the Material Billing and Remote Billing modules, trucking expenses are calculated and an open payable invoice is automatically created for hired haulers to save data entry time. This invoice details each truckload, including ticket number, truck number, job, quantity, and pay rate. Optionally, open vouchers may be created in Accounts Payable for matching to a vendor-supplied invoice.
- The Daily Timecard Entry screen allows capture of load and dump times in addition to number of loads, providing load count analysis by hauler and vendor. This screen also interfaces with Payroll to automatically create timecards for employee truckers.
- Ability to compare cycle time between individual and groups of haulers.
- Ability to deduct back charges from haulers either as a percentage or fixed amount, up to a user-defined maximum.
- Automatically sends costs for internal trucks to Job Cost projects and creates the Equipment revenue transaction.
- Hauling rates can be stored specifically by vendor with unlimited pricing flexibility.
