The Bid Dashboard provides estimators, project managers, and owners with fast, graphical representation and drill-down access to pertinent information about proposals in process, bid details, win-loss statistics, and historical information. It's a convenient way to make informed decisions quickly.

The Notepad keeps track of all your quantities and cost item specifications, providing a convenient audit trail for your job. It's like a virtual legal pad with a running list of everything on the takeoff. A mouse click lets you sort these items as needed, convert items from one unit of measurement to another, or get totals for your quantities.

The Database in ProContractorMX is where you can find historical pricing on cost items including materials, equipment, and labor. And unlike typical spreadsheets, it's all stored in a central location for speedy workflow.
Maxwell Systems also provides a wide range of estimating trade-specific databases tailored to your particular type of work, including concrete, masonry, sitework, and framing. ProContractorMX also offers 28 industry-specific RSMeans databases.
You can also create as many customized databases as you want, and there's no limit to the size or number of databases, and unlimited cost items in each. For further time savings, ProContractorMX allows you to easily update pricing, materials, labor, and equipment using Global Updates. Simply make a change once and the system does the rest.
- Estimate [+]
The Estimate is where your bid comes together more easily than you might think possible. You'll see all your quantities, measurements, and calculations from the takeoff – so no need to reenter data. The seamless system keeps your processes moving along, and maintains accuracy so you avoid costly mistakes. Create cost breakdowns by the criteria of your choice, generate lists of cost items, and view subsets and subtotals of your estimate.
Each estimate is made up of individual cost items, assemblies, and financial items, and it's easy to add, change, and manage these items as you prepare your estimate. You can also save time by creating estimate templates with items you use regularly.
- Building Information Modeling (BIM) [+]
If you have the ability to receive or generate Building Information Modeling (BIM) files, you can use ProContractorMX to easily import items from a design file and populate an estimate with cost items and quantities. Typically BIM uses real-time, dynamic building modeling software to increase productivity in building design and construction.

This feature also allows you to set baseline costs and compare any changes in the estimate to those baselines.

Easily create, track and manage Proposals. The solution pulls data seamlessly from the estimating process, accurately accumulating bid details to help you produce proposals quickly. The proposals use familiar formats and are customizable to include the desired detail. Filter and sort proposals, and track by project, client, estimator, likelihood of acceptance, bid date, and so forth.
- Bid Day [+]
The Bid Day feature lets you easily manipulate a proposal's price on the fly, propose what-if scenarios, or make changes to the bottom line. This helps you to make up-to-the-minute adjustments before sending a bid and react quickly for negotiations so you can compete on bid day.
- Invitation to Bid [+]
Invitation to Bid allows you to easily manage subcontractor bids and supplier quotes. Manage information in a central location and then efficiently issue invitations to bid and request updated pricing. Once your sub and supplier bids are selected, ProContractorMX instantly creates a new estimate based on your selections, which are color-coded so you can easily see the changes made. It's a seamless process that saves you time and improves accuracy.
