Colonial Modules
Payroll
Property Managers value this powerful, flexible solution for payroll.
From the basics of time entry to the complexities of tax compliance, the Payroll module can handle it. Numerous user-definable settings for flexibility and straightforward data entry screens make it possible to manage payroll in-house. Payroll provides an efficient and economical alternative to payrolls done manually for small companies with minimal requirements and large firms working in multiple states with extensive benefit plans.
Using Payroll, you’ll appreciate these benefits:
- Payroll personnel have the flexibility to enter time cards by job, by employee, or both. Expense reimbursements, per diems, flat rates, vacation and holiday time are easily handled.
- With seamless integration throughout Colonial, General Ledger Journal entries are automatically made for each payroll cycle to the appropriate general ledger accounts set up throughout Payroll. Additionally, Job Costing is automatically updated for employee hours and wages recorded during a payroll cycle.
- Payroll reports provide you with detailed information on the payroll costs that have been posted to a job. Indirect labor costs are also posted to the job.
- Calculations and reports accommodate all requirements of the federal government, state, city and county tax jurisdictions. Required government, management, and third-party reports are easily created, helping property managers maintain compliance.
- Payrolls for varying periods (weekly, biweekly, monthly or bimonthly) may be processed simultaneously, which helps payroll personnel save time. Also, payrolls for a new calendar year may be processed normally while closing out the prior year and printing Forms W2.
- For flexibility, wages can be determined by trade, union, job location, prevailing wage, and other circumstances unique to an employee. This information may be over-ridden at data entry time.
- Easy-to-use data entry screens enable employees to quickly process payroll information.
- Streamline reporting with comprehensive workers’ compensation reports, Forms 941, Forms W2, magnetic media, and more.
- Record work and calculate earnings, benefits, fringes, insurance liabilities, and taxes.
- Colonial Payroll supports an unlimited number of pension and benefit plans, including Section 125 cafeteria and 401K.
- For security, administrative payroll may be isolated from standard payroll.
